Turing Biosystems was co-founded by Rémy, from the world of computation, and Adam, from the world of biology. The story goes back much further than the company: we met at 15 in our high-school science club, building stratospheric balloons and growing Euglenas.
We founded Turing Biosystems to integrate multimodal data and build digital twins of biological systems. To simulate complex biology we ended up building a graph database engine of our own: one capable of reasoning tasks, deep graph traversals, and multi-hops on very large graphs.
With auditability and explainability always a priority in critical industries like healthcare, we realised that what we had built could transform how organisations handle complex connected data across every sector. That engine became TuringDB.
