Our Story

Our Founders

Turing Biosystems was co-founded by Rémy, from the world of computation, and Adam, from the world of biology. Our story goes back to when we met in our high school science club at 15 years old, building stratospheric balloons and growing Euglenas.

From Turing Biosystems to TuringDB

We founded our company, Turing Biosystems, to integrate multimodal data and make digital twins of biological systems. We ended up building a graph database engine to simulate complex biology, capable of running reasoning tasks, deep graph traversals and multi-hops on large graphs.

With auditability and explainability always a priority for critical industries like healthcare, we realised that what we built could transform how organisations handle complex connected data across all sectors.

Our Vision

Our vision is to unite the worlds of computation and biology. Alan Turing's last works, on computation in biological systems, showed that this was not just possible but innate, as in the patterns found in sunflower seeds which inspired our logo.

Our Mission

To empower organisations with fast, reliable graph technology that accelerates discovery across science, industry, and finance. We treat software as a creative discipline, advancing algorithms and engineering with the same rigor as scientific research. Our team unites computation and biology to deliver high-performance systems that enable breakthroughs for everyone.
